Delci Makhana Story – How It Is Made
Freshly Picked from our Pond
Lotus seeds grow on the leaf in our ponds from where we pick the best seeds. Collected seeds are washed and dried in the sun for a few hours.
Slow Roasted on High Heat
Sun-dried seeds are roasted on a high flame to remove any trace of moisture. They are then hit to break the black shells and reveal the white popped foxnuts – makhana.
Vacuum-packed to Retain Freshness
Popped foxnuts are immediately packed to retain their crunchy freshness. Vacuum sealed packets of makhana are then sent on their way to our customers.
